Certification as an ABOM diplomate signifies specialized knowledge in the practice of obesity medicine and distinguishes a physician as having achieved competency in obesity care.
Get Certified! Obesity Medicine Certification requires:
- Fellowship-Trained pathway: Proof of successful completion of an on-site clinical fellowship. Your fellowship program director needs to attest to your training. Click here to access the attestation letter.
OR
- CME pathway: A minimum of 60 credits of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™; AOA Category 1-A; or Mainpro-M1 Continuing Medical Education (CME) on the topic of obesity
